I like the apartment in which I live. However, when we first moved in, the bathrooms had not been cleaned in months, and the apartment was nothing like what we were shown in terms of upkeep. Management decided to jack up prices around springtime by discontinuing their payment of water and claiming that cable rates had risen almost $18.00 in a year. Therefore, before the leases ran out, tenants were spending at least $30.00 extra than what was stated in the original contract. This caused some of the people we knew to move.
Renters' money could be put to better use than pressure washing sidewalks and planting new flowers around the highway sign.
