Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
My husband and I lived here for a year and a half. The convenience is WONDERFUL! Some of the staff is great, and always caring and wants to do everything they can to help. The maintenance guys are great!
These apartments are old. You have to realize that. There are several layers of paint and things are just breaking down. They definitely need to be checked for mold. They really are in need of an overhaul.
The front gate worked about 1/2 the time we lived there. The parking is HORRIBLE. If your apartment section is fully occupied, good luck finding a parking spot. We had our cars hit several times in the parking lot as well, nothing major but dings in the paint, a busted tail light and dented bumpers. We had several plumbing issues in the time we were there. We were a bottom apartment and the one above us actually had the problems, we just got the water. Our entire living room, dining room, kitchen and common area flooded (2inches of standing water) due to a pipe bursting. The upstairs AC leaked causing a hole in our ceiling from dripping water. The bedroom wall stayed constantly wet from a leak.
The washer and dryer hook ups are also in the closet for one of the bedrooms which we did not like.
The water and sewer is OUTRAGEOUS! It would run roughly 75 to 80 dollars every month, the water meter is located in the apartment and the numbers never changed. There was one month we weren't even home half of the time and used very little water and our water bill was still about 80 dollars. When we asked the office they said that is what it averaged in a 2 bedroom with 2 people.
The walls are VERY thin, if you're in a bottom apartment, you can hear everything above you, also, you can hear everyone's music.
As far as safety goes, as I said the gate only works about half the time, around dark there are usually a group of teenagers walking around the grounds. We had an issue with a neighbor and when we called to complain to the office (several times) all they would say is "file a police report", they never offered to do anything else.
Also, the 25lb pet limit is b.s. there are several HUGE dogs in the complex. Some that are left to freely roam outside. I've seen a Rottweiler, lab, and a few pitbulls.
Overall it's an ok place to live, as long as it's temporary. I wouldn't want to live here more than about a year. We are very glad to be out of there. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn
