The person who claimed to have a well-maintained loft must have lived on the 2nd floor. The roof leaks every time it rains. The owner of the building is planning to sell to condo developers as soon as possible so all maintenance is strictly for looks. They just paint over the water stains. (Don't even get me started about the "artistic murals"!) For the price, you'd expect something a little more special, and for awhile we really enjoyed the convenience of living downtown close to the office and the gorgeous windows and the open spaces. But after 18 months of astronomical power bills because of poor insulation, paper-thin walls, harassment from James the local hobo who we complained about but others in the building vouched for, and constantly hearing the Harley redneck mentioned in the previous review, we are ready to leave too. Wait till this building changes ownership. It's not J.H.Berry's fault. They have been more than great about maintenance as far as they can. It's Adam Cohen, the greedy owner of the building.
