I have lived here for exactly 2 years and have been miserable ever since. For starters, my apartment was dirty when they rented it to me. The downstairs half bath of my town home had pee all over the floor where maintenance had used the restroom and missed the toilet on several occasions. I had to buy thick plastic gloves and Clorox to clean up the terrible mess before I could occupy it. After I got everything cleaned, I was somewhat happy and it looked very nice. But after I moved in I noticed that the tub upstairs in the bathroom was constantly leaking "HOT" water, not cold (and keep in mind that the hot water heater is run off of "GAS") and I called the office to put in a request to have maintenance to come and repair it. Well, a day or so went by and no one came to fix the problem so, I called my attorney to have them call the office and they sent Roto Rooter out immediately to fix the problem and keep in mind that the problem existed before I moved in, the very next day after Roto Rooter put a new faucet on the tub, part of the ceiling fell in downstairs in the kitchen from water damage. They will fool you by showing you the beautiful model that looks nothing like the actual apartment you will be living in. Well, moving on with my story...As time passes by, the drain in the parking lot got clogged with all kinds of trash and acorns causing water to flow over the drain and down the steps in front of the door of my town home causing a very bad flood where you would have to take a boat in order to get in and out. I complained and complained to management that the drain needed to be cleaned out...They told me that it was covered with cement. I asked, "Why would you cover a drain with cement when it was placed there to drain water from the parking lot to keep the area around the apartment from flooding"' They had no answer because they knew that they were too sorry to send someone out to dig and clean the drain out. Well, time still passes by and the drain was not fixed or cleaned out. I called my attorney again, had them call management as well as write them a letter concerning the clogged drain. There was a drained placed right outside my apartment the next day to drain the water when it rained to keep it from sitting there. If I didn't have attorney's then things would have never gotten done. I would have been just like the rest of the people here...unhappy and very miserable. And some people don't have a choice but to live there because of credit problems and other issues that prevent them from being able to rent or move. I am telling you, I am getting the hell out of here in a week or so. The --------- (Those little short no English speaking folk) are taking over; they are nasty, leave trash all over the yards, selling drugs, getting busted by the DEA and fighting. I watched the DEA go in and bust one apartment bringing out all sorts of evidence. Gunshots are constantly heard, trash is all over the place and I have a very bad problem with Cockroaches and huge SPIDERS!!! I have called the health department and nothing has been done. So, be careful and think before you move here! Ask questions, knock on doors and get personal references from current tenants. And that is all I have to say...Oh, I forgot, I had people living across from me that moved out a year ago who left food in their refrigerator. No one came to clean that apartment ore refrigerator out for 8 months. And not to mention the gunshot hole they left in the back right side of my car before evacuating their apartment. Their apartment was left open and the maggots and gnats took over the fridge. It was also very infested with roaches and any other insect you can think of and the window to the washroom broken out. And another tenant moved out in my building because her little brother was going around setting vacant apartments on fire. She was evicted and left trash in her apartment and now the smell of old trash and food is coming through the walls of my kitchen from her kitchen. I have to close the door to my kitchen and place a comforter at the base of the door to cut down on the bad odor until I can move (which will hopefully take place in a week or so). The trash has been in the apartment for three weeks now.
