My friend and I were looking for an apartment here and we were told that we can get in by Aug. 15. Once we paid our deposit and applications fee, Lisa (Alisa) said I apologize but it wont be until Aug. 20 before we have an apartment. So my friend and I said ok. ON sunday we went to the Overlook to pick up our keys and Lisa said oh the apartment isnt ready so we will move your things into our model home until it is finished. So we went to the model to move in our things and SOMEONE WAS ALREADY LIVING THERE.

So I decided to get in my car and ride to the unit they promised us and the APARTMENT WASNT EVEN STARTED TO BE CLEANED. THERE WAS MOLD IN THE CARPET, ON THE WALLS, AND THE KITCHEN PIPES WERE BUSTED. The tubs were filthy and she promised us that the apartment would be ready for move-in the next day. So the next day I called and Yolanda said we will have another unit for you ready on Thursday. THen thursday they said, " well you can move in but you cant take a shower until Saturday.

I even spoke with the manager, Karen, and she told me I could move in. So, Saturday 25, 2007, I went to move in and after I signed the lease, Jp says oh well your friend must sign the lease too. SO I WASTED MY TIME, GAS, AND ENERGY TO PICK UP KEYS AND THEY WOULD NOT GET THEM FOR ME. Within, that period of time, I could have found another place to live.


I have pictures of the apartment they tried to prepare for them but they are in my mobile phone, I am thinking about taking legal action because I have talked to other prospective residents and they said the same thing had happened to them too.

Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT A PLACE THAT WONT APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Taking pictures of everything was a great idea. I got out of my lease because they refused to do anything about my upstairs neighbors who let their animals defecate on their balcony. I wouldn't let my worst enemy live in those conditions. I threatened legal action and they let me out of my lease. The people there should be fined and shut down for the way they ignore all the problems and the horrible conditions they make people live in... TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD SERIOUS ISSUES WITH THIS PLACE: CONTACT THE BBB (BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU) AND FILE A COMPLAINT. THE MORE NEGATIVE COMPAINTS THE BETTER. ALSO IF YOU FEEL UP TO IT, CONTACT THE LOCAL MEDIA. SHOW THEM YOUR PICTURES........

I had my apartment flooded by a hot water heated that burst in the unoccupied unit next to me & it took them six days to complete the cleanup. I end up sleeping on a make-shift bed in my living room for five night & I only got lies from the main office.
