I have been living at Overlook apartments since Feb. 2005 and when I first moved in, I was fine with everything that went on because the complex seemed to be in control but eventually the next year, everything went down hill. I am not here to type a negative response just to vent but what I'm about to type is the honest to God truth. The trash on the propery is getting out of hand as there is trash scattered about the complex b/c of the wind and people not putting their trash inside the dumpters and the dumpters get filled up so quickly that trash is placed on the ground by the dumpsters. Maintenance is not efficient and does not seem to care about fixing whatever you may have wrong in your apartment. I recall an evening where my toilette was not working and I called the rental office which has a switch board after office hours; they paged maintenance several times and finally someone came to my apartment - I had to go the entire night without a working toilette and I live in a one bedroom apartment on this property (this is not acceptable for anyone).

My neighbors are ghetto and bring their pitbulls outside without a leash and I've even spoken to the rental office about this - I have a dog and I do not need their dog running up to my dog to start a confrontation. I've seen several people walk their dog without a leash. The hallways are dirty...the floor I mean. I recall them sending out a notice a year ago saying they would clean all the hallways and this has never been done. I remember I renewed my lease after the first year and they were supposed to shampoo my carpet just for renewing the lease and this never happened. I've gone to the rental office more than enough times to get things done and I pay rent on time and each and every month. They have changed management several times and the people that are working in the rental office never seem to really care what's going on with the tenants and the problems.

The fitness facility is always closed because tenants let their children inside to tear up the equipment and this is so that the rental office will not fix the broken equipment anymore. The complex has definitely gone down hill and parking seems to be a problem for my building as tenants guests park their cars crooked in parking spaces as if they're the only cars visible.

I would not recommend this complex to anyone because I know what I've gone through in living here. My lease is up Feb. 2008 and I will be moving. I hope that maybe one day management can get everything in order. If you are looking at these apartments to live, I recommend you read some of these reviews because this information is very true. The choice is yours.
