Wow, I never thought I'd be writing this but here I am. THIS APARTMENT SUCKS! My maintenance issues (which were recorded during the walk thru) have yet to be addressed, but they aren't deal breakers so I've chosen to "overlook" those things (pun intended). But what I can't "overlook" is the ROACHES! Palmetto Bugs, whatever you want to call them! I'm afraid to come or go in the evenings because they are hanging out in the breezeways like they own the place! I almost want to say "excuse me" "I'm sorry" because I feel like I'm invading THEIR space! And there is no/very poor weather stripping, so when they are looking for their next hangout - they welcome themselves right into your place! They say that they "spray every Thursday" but I don't see how they can and the roaches own the place like that. And I'd sooooo move YESTERDAY if they didn't make you sign this lease that says if you break it you have to pay for all the remaining months at retail price, plus back any "deals" they gave you...it's just not worth it right now. I'd read some of these reviews before I moved in, so it's my dumb fault for going thru with this. Trust me, I'm kicking myself right now!

Actually if you document the state of the apartment and they don't fix it, your lease is broken. Read the alabama tenant's act. Technically your lease is broken and you can leave with 30 days notice! If they say anything to you tell them that you will report them to the health department. I guarantee they will let you go. If the health department were to inspect that place they would be shut down.

i lived there and had the same problems. I had spiders however it was still bad and then on top of that my unit was missing doors that they promissed i would have a week after moving in...4 months later still no doors and that is just a few of the problems i had. i was really mad so i left they let me out of the lease because i said i would go to court over it and they were in the wrong!!! U could do the same

I would be careful if i were you alabama state law says you cannot withhold rent due to lack of maintenance due to the contract you sign with them. I also lived here and the way to break your lease is talk with the manager and get the total to break it, they will only charge you 30 day notice and i think either 5 or 10% of the remaining of the lease not the entire months left on your contract. you need to read it over again. when i left the beginning of the year they had a new manager come in there and things seemed to be getting a little better but it has a long way to go. i did like my apartment room and layout and if when my lease is up this summer if things are better over there i think i will give them another try you know i have lived in apartments for the past 15 years and they are really all about the same...
