I have lived in these apartments for 3 years. They are a bit pricey because of their location (Mtn Brook). I pay $600 for a 1 bedroom and there is no pool or exercise room. I have zero complaints. In the rare event that something breaks, they fix is ASAP and if you have a problem with one your neighbors (i.e. noise), you just tell the manager and they take care of it ASAP. All in all, this is probably one of the best kept secrets in Bham. They really don't advertise. They don't need too. Word of mouth is all it takes to keep these aparments full. Anyway, if you are looking for a nice, quiet, safe and centrally located apartment complex, this is one of your best bets. Almost everyone there is a working professional, serious college student and a few families. They seem to be very serious about screening people and if there is a problem, they fix is very quickly. They also have night-time security and the the neighborhood feels ultra safe, mainly because you are surrounded by people in large wealthy "mansions". This is a great place to live if you don't want any problems and don't cause any problems, i.e no wild parties of loud cars. In addition, you are right across the street from Bham Botanical Gardens and the Zoo. You are also 2 minutes from an entrance/exit to Hwy 280/31 and only 5 minutes from Southside or Lakeshore. After living in so many crappy apartments, I really appreciate it there and probably won't leave until I go to another city.
