I've lived in Park Lane Apartments for the past six months, and contrary to the previous review entitled "horrible," I have had a wonderful experience here. The office manager, Joy, has been nothing but gracious to me and my roommate. The apartments are exceptional; my dad, who owns a business renting apartments in New Orleans, gives his mark of approval to the double layered windows that help keep it warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The apartment is virtually sound proof; I find myself yelling to my roommate from my own room when she's in the kitchen. We've had plenty of parties and never one complaint. It's lovely in the morning too--peaceful and bright (when it's a pretty day), there are plenty of windows that let in lots of natural light. And to boot, the apartments are located in virtually the best neighborhood in Birmingham, close to everything. They provide a wonderful sense of community. One of my favorite things to do is to walk home from the Western supermarket around the block with my flowers and paper bag. Park Lane is a great place to live.

Thank for the review. Would you mind sharing some info about utility costs? Water, power, gas, etc? Also, is it a very long waiting list? Please, any info you feel is pertinent for new tenants would be appreciated.
