Awful place to live

I lived in this apartment for almost a year with my husband and our small dog and it was the worst place that we have ever lived in. The -------, ---, was not friendly and she was very intiminating. After seeing how cheaply other apartments were, we realized that this place was overpriced b/c the heat sucks and we were always so cold in the winter. We also felt like we were living in a monastery b/c our old, cranky neighbor would complain to the ------- any time we played a movie or music at a normal volume. Everyone who lived there seemed really pretentious. Also, the refundable pet deposit was $500, nonrefundable was $200, and on top of the $10 extra a month added to the rent for the pet. We never got our pet deposit back. We also didn't get our renter's deposit back "due to pet damage to carpet" even though they claim to change out the carpet w/ each tenant regardless of how long the tenant has been there. Oh yeah, I should mention that the walls are so thin that I can always hear the neighbor's phone ring and they never pick up the phone.

No, I did not have the wrong apartment. ---, the -------, is intimidating and mean. We were also not disrespectful of our neighbors. If anything, we were scared of our neighbor who called --- any time he hears anything above a whisper. My husband worked a 8-3 job and I was in school 9-5 everyday if not later. Our dog is a 20 pounds beagle who had a bark collar on every day. We always cleaned up her dog poo and were still questioned about it as if we don't have etiquette. Anyways, we have lived in another apartment complex after Park Lane and en---ed better neighbors and ------- than Park Lane ever offered.

Sorry, but I just can't believe you. I have lived here for more than 2 years, and I know a lot of people who live here. Your experience sounds like that of a few college students who lived here a while back. They had a large dog who barked constantly, listened to movies and music at an unreasonable volume and hour, and they never cleaned up after their animal. Turns out they too submitted a bad review of Park Lane, expressing very similar complaints. The truth was they never displayed any consideration for neighbors. I witnessed it. --- told the truth, regardless of their disinformation. And as for the walls. If your walls are paper-thin, then you are definitely not living in Park Lane. These walls are several inches of thick plaster. It's hard to hear my wife in the other room, even when she's screaming for me to hand her a towel. Oh, and it's inhumane to keep an animal as large as a beagle in an apartment. You should be more responsible for the well-being of your pet. A dog that large needs a yard to run around in. I would never keep more than one small dog, or two medium sized cats in an apartment.
