Could be completely amazing...

Ok, how to accurately portray this... The apartments themselves are fabulous, pristine hardwoods, plaster wall, marble floor in the bathroom (!!!), brand spanking new kitchen cabinets, fridge, and bathroom ceramics. They even chose a neutral attractive paint scheme, such a refreshing change from institutional bright stark freakin' white. What really ruins the place is the management... Fussy, persnickety Queen that runs the property management, as the other reviewer stated, is stone cold and very dismissive and apathetic. In the couple years I've lived here, I've heard promise upon promise to install a laundry facility in the (as yet unfinished) basement. So it's not that they don't have the room, it's just not been done. That, coupled with the fact that I've never seen even this particular building with full occupancy, and the fact that there are two other buildings here, even if they had to sacrifice one of the units to install a common area with washer/dryers... It's just a complete lack of imagination and/or concern. A few months ago, a celebratory flyer appeared on each tenant's door proclaimed the inauguration of a valet laundry service. FABULOUS!, except you had to drop off and pick up your laundry at the main office on Claremont. WTF'! There are 3 laundromats within a 5 block radius. I suspect that the god-awful plumbing is what's hindering them from some laundry installation, I'm sure there would have to be code inspections, etc, and frankly for the $500 a month for 500-odd sq. feet they really are pushing it. Another issue is the ludicrous amount of pet dogs in this property, barking constantly and dog crap EVERYWHERE, marring an otherwise attractive outdoor treatment. They seem to also not have a weight limit to pets, as there are several larger lab-type breeds resident.

Now that I've whined about all the cons, I will repeat that the units themselves are incredible. There are at least 10 restaurants within walking distance, and if your're a nightlife person, you would never have to worry about driving after a few libations. I love my space, but RUE THE DAY you have to actually have to have any contact at all with the management.

Cheers
