Here is a least of (ongoing) problems I have had with my apartment:
1) Leaking ceiling/wall
2) Peeling bathroom ceiling
3) Scalding hot showers (there is no regulator)
4) A kitchen sink that will not turn off
5) A kitchen sink whose finish is peeling off due to the aforementioned faucet problem
6) Cracked window
7) Broken blinds
Other issues to be aware of:
Sure, these apartments are beside all sorts of cafes and bars, etc., but every patron of those places that does not live within walking distance of the village parks in Redmont Gardens lots and making it nearly impossible for residents of the apartments to find parking spaces.
Also, the heat only comes on when the temperature drops low enough. It sucks to not be able to turn the heat on when you are in a cold, old apartment. When the heat does finally come on, it sounds not unlike a ship wrecking at sea. The pipes bang and jerk in the middle of the night.
The exterior wallls of the apartments may be well insulated, but the walls between the apartments are not. I can hear every single t.v. show my neighbor watches. I can hear another neighbor go to the bathroom. To capture all of the apartment complex's problems I would say that it feels like living in a college dormitory-no parking, lots of noise, and sometimes satisfactory but never exemplary maintenance.
