Not what I expected...

I lived at the Abbey at Regent's walk for one year. That was long enough! There were roaches everywhere. Whenever I would walk into the kitchen at night there would be a scurry of roaches when I turned the light on. The thing that makes me upset is that people would stay up until three in the morning hanging out in the parking lot blaring music. Children would be in the hallways screaming and playing all the way into the early a.m.'s. The hallways always smelled disgusting. My hot water heater started an electrical fire. I went to put it out with the extinguisher underneath the sink (provided by the apartment). Turns out it had expired so it actually made it worse. We called maintenance as it was happening. They didn't show up until 10-15 min AFTER I had put the fire out myself. This apartment is a nightmare! ALTHOUGH....When I moved out the apartment was starting a new management and staff, so I don't know if anything has changed or not.

I lived there from 2005-2007 and it sounds like little has changed. While commenting on the ethnicity of your neighbors is a taboo thing to do, there are some cultural differences with incoming latinos and other americans. I also noticed that SOME of my latino neighbors were more liberal with their music and letting their kids stay out later. I just don't know what an apartment can do about it. :-(

This was a very disrespectful post, please stop mixing personal preferences with race and cultural differences. Every person is an individual, and make the individual choice to do what they do. Please do not define the character of a company by the people that are affiliated with it. If you have an issue with the people then take it up with each person or voice your complaint to the staff or the police (being that there is one on staff). Now, I respect the fact that the living condition (pertaining to the building inside and outside, and managment is not acceptable) but to go as far as making opinions on cultures indwelling the property is out right disrespectful.
