Do not take over a lease at this place

When I took over a lease for my son from his roommate, before I signed the lease, I told the CG rep that there were issues with the apartment and asked if they needed to do a walk through of the place. They said no. I brought this up more than once. Now that my son has left they want me to pay for damages that were there from the roommate. I told the current rep about my telling them about the problems but they are, of course, not interested. Their position is that if there were problems I should have just not took over the lease and started a new lease. Soooo, why didn't they tell me that then' Was it their responsibility to do so' I think so. However, they don't and are not interested in any discussion, only the money. Also, since the roommate was dropped from the lease he is not legally responsible for paying any part of the charges despite the fact that he is responsible for the damages. My advice' Stay away from this place. They will not help you avoid costly mistakes and will take advantage of your ignorance of rental protocols at every opportunity. Further, if you do rent from CG (or at any other place) use a camera to make pictures of every square inch of the apartment and have a rep from the owner company sign each picture to acknowlege the state of the property before you sign anything. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk

I think that you must have the wrong property, as this has not been a Colonial property for over 2 years now.
