I live at Riverchase Gardens and am very happy with my apartment, managment and the up keep of the grounds. I know that everyone can not be happy all the time but websites like this is so easy to bash people and to use this as a means of verbal abuse is just low down.
You should come to the complex and make up your own mind of what you are looking for. I talk to my neighbors all the time and they love living in our building.The staff is very friendly but I am sure that they to have bad days sometime. I can say that the grounds are the cleanest I have ever lived at and the maint and office staff are always out and offer to help in any way they can. PLEASE USE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT WHEN LOOKING FOR APARTMENTS DO NO LET THESE BAD APPLES SPOIL THE ENTIRE BAG...... THIS WOULD BE THE SHAME NOT MOVING IN WOULD ONLY KEEP YOU FROM A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE....... x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk

I work at an apartment complex not associated with this one but this site truly is a venting ground for the angry. Most all of the reviews here are negative. People get mad usually about something they have instigated and come here to ruin the reputation of the property.

I agree that this must have been written by the staff. I live at Riverchase Gardens in Building 11 and I am counting the days to leave. I appreciate websites like these because they tell the truth and give you the real story. I only wish that I would have found it a yaer ago before I moved in. And to the last person who posted...you do not live at our property so you should not comment on things that you know nothing about. This apartment and the management sucks! You move in and then tell me how you feel in six months!

Well, all I can say is that the grass is not always greener on the other side. All apartment communities have problems with something or another...nobody is perfect and I understand that that is just life. If people are not happy renting and living in a apartment community...then BUY your own home and stop complaining, but, I am sure most of these negative people who have responded on this site will still find something to complain about regarding their homeowners association or neighbors...the list just goes on. Please find something better to do with your time!!

I am looking for an apartment complex for my family. We are moving from Washington in October. All I can say is that I appreciate the people that have taken the time to tell their stories on this website. I know nothing about Birmingham and I definetely do not want to move into a place where all theses types of things are happening. I know that the grass isn't always greener on the other side as the person before me has said, but if this many people are all having the same problems and taking the time to voice them, there has to be some truth in it. Maybe management should take note and do something about it so the tenents will want to brag about what a nice place they live in. There are TOO many problems with this place...sounds like mostly with management. Does anyone know of a good placce to check out?

I used to live at the Grove at Riverchase (it has a new name now, owned by Colonial), and it was very nice there. I don't know about the new management, but the community is very nice. Also, you might want to check out Barrington on the Green or Kenley. The last ones are a litle pricey, but worth it. I can tell you right now these supposed postive response people for R.G.A. IS MANAGEMENT. Ive lived many places and have NEVER commented negitive about them until I stayed at R.G.A. DONT MOVE HERE. UNLESS THEY DO LISTEN AND YOUVE HEARD THINGS HAVE CHANGED.
