i didn't think it was bad for the price until i REALLY started looking around at the cheaper AND NICER apartments in bham.. i am a young male and have lived in several apartment complexes since i was 18. this is the WORST i have ever lived in. unfortunately i still have several months until my lease is up. i 110% regret moving in this place.

-bugs/beetles/roaches/gnats/spiders everywhere. i keep my apartment VERY clean and they will not go away. i have to call the office almost every week to get pest control in. still, it doesn't help. i hate to have food in cabinets b/c of wood bugs.

-if you are late on rent be prepared to pay over a $200 fee (and don't think this could not happen to you-the economy is bad and obviously if you are looking to live here then you don't make 100k per year...)

-things break in my apartment all of the time b/c everything is SO OLD. dishwasher, stove, and ac all have been broken or not worked right and i have only been here 6 months. maintenance had to come several times to fix bathtub b/c it kept leaking. STILL ISN'T FIXED!!

-leasing agents are clueless. no lights when taking out trash, checking mail, or walking pets. this is dangerous for the young women out there. if i call them it will be a week before they call me back and even then it isn't resolved. they really do not care. $300 credit for a friend to move in' i don't hate anyone that much!

-APARTMENT STINKS! I pay tons of money on candles and glade plug ins to help the stinch. still doesn't help the musty smell in carpet.

-when they repainted apartment they left gaps around doorknobs and light switches. both closets weren't re-painted and are very dirty.

-pools are only SOMETIMES clean. so don't expect antyhing nice

Their eagerness to remove the concessions and give you a late fee if you are late by one day, REGARDLESS of circumstances or explanation, is not due to the economy. It's due to the Ebeneezer Scrooge ethics & morals of the company's management and ownership. I've never signed a lease so long in my life and never will again...because I'll never rent from their management company again.

Lovinit at Riverside Parc I think the guy must have beencamping on the scenic river walk area..there are some bugs there..but hey..its where they are supposed to be. I have lived here for two years and I love it. The staff, especially the property manager is always responsive to our needs and the property is well kept and extremely nice. The maintenance crew is the best, usually they can respond the same day to minor things and immeidately with emergencies. I looked around for 4 months before desiding to live at RPA and I love being close to the river and the woods. Its quiet and friendly. Come on out and see us.
