I've had a group of male teens gathering outside my door several nights a week now, smoking pot and snorting something and peeing on the breezeway wall and throwing trash down everywhere. They even stole a package from a neighbor's doorstep and dumped the styrofoam packing peanuts everywhere! After 2 weeks of them blowing all over, I went out and picked them up myself, along with all the other trash and cigarette butts the thugs throw down. I pick up the trash and cig butts from around my terrace about once a week now, and the maintenance man drove by in his golf cart and waved at me! I have repeatedly called the office to do something (loitering is prohibited by the lease agreement) and they say call the cops. I call the cops and they say they "don't have a car available and they will send someone when they can". I call the nightly answering service to ask them to page the curtesy officer to come around and run them off, and no one ever shows up. I am afraid to leave my unit when those thugs are hanging around by my door. This is NOT a safe community. There was a shooting last summer and 3 carpet installers were shot. Three cars (including mine) have been damaged or totalled by hit and run drivers while parked in front of my building. I thought the new owner would start screening potential tenants with background and criminal history checks when they bought the property last September but evidently not, or these thugs just haven't been caught yet and don't have a record. This is THUG and BUG Central - stay away! The staff doesn't seem to care as long as they get their rent on time!
