We just moved here recently. This place sounded like a dream come true--fireplace, huge floor plan, patio, 3 pools, big closets, fitness center, internet cafe, and a gated community. It didn't take long for us to realize this place has issues.
1. The gate is almost always open. Muliple cars can follow each other in. Plus, you can reach in an open the pedestrian gates from the outside. No combination needed.
2. Too many random teenagers walking around.
3. Neighborhood kids raid the pools, so it's hard for residents to enjoy them. So much for the "gated community".
4. Maintenance is slow to respond.
5. Bugs.
6. The internet cafe consists of a computer in a room with a sink. Who knows if it works or not; however, sometimes there are nice cookies.
7. The exteriors of some buildings could us some major upkeep.
Seriously, it could be a great place to live. They make it seem so upscale in the ads. We love the floorplan, but the other problems take away from the positive aspects of this place. No wonder Mountain Brook annexed it to Irondale. We have alot of stuff and moving is a beast, but we may have to consider it when our lease is up.
