When I moved here management told me to come by in a few days and sign the lease. Well every time I went by no one was ever there nor would they return phone calls or there computers were down that day.
So if they didnt care if they had a lease why should I. Well nothing ever got fixed from the day I moved in all my furniture was ruined along with my computer when the kitchen ceiling and living room ceiling fell in not once, but twice. They didnt even fix the ceiling it was still falling in the day I Moved. There is mold everywhere which I had to go to the doctor for and was the main cause I moved out.
My blood level was full of bacteria from mold I already having asthma and sinus trouble and this is what was making it worse. The air ducts in those apts are never cleaned. I Thank god for that poor management because I was able to move after 6 months because there was no lease.
And if you contact Engle properties they never call you back either they just take the complaint to that wonderful management and tell her to deal with it. Nothing is ever resolved.
Unless you want to live like crocadile dundee, or like an alligator in swampchase and you enjoy mold / termites / your stairs rotting off / your balcony rotting off, oh and did I mention this can make it very interesting when your on the 3rd floor / rotted wood everywhere / no maintance / no one to answer your calls and when they do answer be ready to deal with a real live alligator they dont like to be bothered!!!
Save your self from this swampland dump look elsewhere!

My husband and I also had a HUGE issue with mold and water damage that kept recurring and being ignored by the staff. We were given a new apartment after a year of complaining only because I told them I was ready to contact my lawyer. The new apartment has fewer problems, but is still in no way a great palce to live. Rotten wood, loud neighbors, carpet not attached to the floor, a jammed door to the porch. Luckily, we're moving in two months-- we'd have to try to find a more horrible place to live outside of a trailer park in a swamp.

Wow!!!!! This could have been written about my apartment it is almost the exact same story as my experience at Summerchase. Mold, mold, and more mold the staff said it was just "water marks" (as if that is fine). The green and grey fuzz growing all over my clothes and shoes in my closet sure looks and smells like mold to me. Celling collapsing must be in the lease someplace because it has happened five times in my place. Including once while I was in the shower it fell on top of me! Are ---- roaches swamp creatures? They are also apart of life at Summerchase I must admit that the staff did send someone by to put some boric acid down to slow the infestation. I should also admit in all fairness there is no shortage of "water marks" due to the water damage.
I would not recommend these apartments to anyone!
