I had a very frustrating experience while living at The Meadows. There is a storage building behind the Parkside apartments, and M-F trucks begin arriving at 5:00am to load. It is very loud and no one in the office mentions prior to move-in. Also the music from "Skates 280" can be loud during the weekend. Also,the ant problem was a constant nuisance. When I moved out, a month later I received a bill for a full months rent. I called to clarify, and even though my lease was up, I was charged a full month for insufficient notice. Unfortunately, I was not prepared for the additional bill. When I tried to make arrangements to pay, I was NOT given the option of payment plans. I later found out arangements could and should have been made. I have contacted the cooporate office numberous times and have not been given an explaination as to why I was not given a description of collection plans available. I've been told twice someone from collections would call me and I never received a response. My initial complaint call to corporate was only anwered after I asked for someone to contact me regarding "renting an apartment". I was told they could only take as one payment, however, the staff at the office told me they would take a "settlement" amount. When I called (same day) to submit payment, I was never told of this option, and I had to ask myself. I was offered a settlement amount, but was only given the option of making 1 payment and must be made same day. I was told by the corporate office, when placing my complaint, that they tend to believe the person who is more truthful, which is the staff at the Meadows. It was honestly a very distressing experience. I paid my rent every month, never late and was a respectful renter. Please take the above into consideration when planning to rent at the Meadows.
