This is not the worst place to live, just make sure you know what you are getting into. Make sure you can view the exact apartment you will be renting ahead of time, and know you will have to stay on top of any maintenance requests (usually after 2 weeks and 3-4 phone calls most items will be fixed). This is our experience: we were transferred from across the country and had a very limited amount of time to find an apartment. We agreed to rent a 2 bed/2 bath and were told it wasn't ready yet and we weren't able to see it before moving in (big mistake- but our fault for not insisting). The apartment was completely trashed. There were bits of food and grease on the kitchen wallpaper (which a few weeks later the complex had removed and re-painted). Most of the drawers don't work, the cabinets are shot, pests (roaches) were always a problem, the appliances had seen better days,the window in our 2nd bedroom was broken, all the screens had major holes, our 2nd toliet was always on the fritz, there were hairs stuck in the paint along the baseboards in the bathroom (basically I don't think they cleaned up before painting), walls weren't in very good condition, basically I spent the first week cleaning. So, if minor maintenance issues are things you can live with- by all means take a second look at The Meadows. The upside- the apartment was very spacious and we had very quiet neighbors.
