Beautiful, but still has problems.

Of course the rent here is absolutely exorbitant, but that's because (among other reasons), when you move in, it feels like you're moving into a brand new apartment. I've seen them replacing everything from carpet and linoleum to closet fixtures for new residents, and they did the same for us.
However ... Huge spider problem here. And they came out repeatedly to fix the problem, but the spiders just kept coming. There was also a slightly horrifying incident when we sprayed a spider and it ran away to leave hundreds of it's babies....
In addition, the pet rules are not enforced. DO NOT STEP OFF THE PAVEMENT. They send threatening notes around every once in awhile, but never do anything.
Another thing, is that no one ever enforces parking. I've seen people double park in handicapped spots, when they weren't even handicapped. People also park behind all night you and keep you from moving your car.
However, management is very friendly, very accomodating -- unless someone complains about you. We lodged a complaint against our upstairs neighbors, and I don't know what management said to them, but our neighbors said it was very ugly.
Maintenance-wise, most of the employees are terrific, but they almost always come out promptly (same day) and completely fix the problem.
All in all, I've been very pleased.
