A few problems, but okay

I've lived here for over 2 years and have enjoyed it for the most part. The apartments are kept up; fresh paint is applied regularly, and the landscaping looks very nice. I love this part of town and I don't have to fight 280 traffic to get here in the afternoons.
I personally haven't had problems with noise; however, I live on the top floor. The noise from the pool gets loud in the summer, but that's something I knew and accepted before moving into an apt. close to the pool.
On the downside, they hired a contractor to come paint a few months ago. The contractor used Third World daylaborers that spraypainted everyone's cars. I contacted the office on several occasions and even went to get an estimate to have the paint removed from my car, but their response was, "It's the contractor's fault. You get with them." Well, several months later, I still have a car with gray paint imbedded into my paintjob. I still haven't any idea how long it's going to take that contractor to return my messages. I'm still waiting (ha).
Another annoying thing is the monopoly cable provider. For the price they charge, I could get several movie channels with Charter Cable, but we're not allowed to have anything but this ridiculous company out of Atlanta that has no customer service. I have a cable modem with them that runs like a 12k baud dialup modem. I get ping spikes over 15,000 and 95% packet loss, and this is the norm, not the exception. It's a rare night I can sit down and enjoy online games. The cable company is undoubtedly giving kickbacks to the apartments for setting up a monopoly. If this isn't the case, why else would the Parc care what cable service we purchase'
And I too have experienced the huge rate hike that comes at the end of a lease. They have jacked my rates up twice now. I expect every apartment complex to add an additional $10 to $15 annoyance fee at the end of a lease, but $75 a month!'!'! Come on! They know people hate to move, so they take advantage of that to line their pockets rather than treating their tenants like customers.
Besides the few annoyances above, it's been fun. :)
