I have lived at these apartments for close to 3 years, First in a 3 bedroom with roommates and then moved to a 1 bedroom when my roommates moved away. The Pluses: my apartment is truly unique, I live in what's called a LOFT apartment with extremely high vaulted ceilings and beams running across the rooms..It looks like a cozy log cabin. I have no neighbors below or above me and all my appliances and fixtures are nice. Parking is never a problem. Negatives (and trust me they definately negate the pluses) When I lived in the 3 bedroom parking was a nightmare if you came home after 8 p.m.(but this seems to be the only building with this problem) The out of control Children run amok everywhere...7 speed MOUNTAINS to cross every time I come and go(these are not mere speed bumps) and I live all the way in the back! The gates have never worked in 3 years, The pool is always dirty and rarely even actually open, the gym is constantly out of order due to vandalism & recently they locked the doors with a code but didn't even let me know what the code was, incompetent management staff...I will give you a frightening example...last summer I had a problem with wasps! YES FOLKS WASPS! Flying around in my ceiling. I called the office and after a nervous "hold on", was left on hold for 10 minutes and was subsequently told there was nothing they could do about it. EXCUSE ME' I can get stung to death in my sleep, am deathly afraid of bugs and there is nothing they could do about it' I merely wanted them to figure out how the hell they were getting in my place to begin with and they blatently told me they weren't going to. I ended up having a pest control guy help me out with a spray that killed 7 wasps in one day! My utility bill and rent is astronomically too high...I'm single, no kids, living in a 1 bedroom apartment and I average about 215-280 dollar usage for utilities...mind you I work at night, sleep all day and am rarely there on the weekends but due to the ceilings and the fact that my a/c unit blows all the air up because the fans are located up too high, it's impossible to properly cool or heat my apartment, so I have to run the a/c constantly just to keep a comfortable temperature. Oh, speaking of my night job (11p to 7a) I sleep during the day and the bus picks the kids up right outside my door...so of course I can't even properly fall asleep with all the screaming and noise every morning and afternoon when they return. When I've complained about the noise to the office they simply told me to tell the kids myself. There is only one trash dumpster (located at the front of the property). My next door neighbor has a huge dog that barks and due to the thin walls it sounds like it's in my own house. SO FED UP my renewal is coming up and my rent is actually going UP...So I'm moving in July and GOOD RIDDANCE!
