Make sure if you have children that you fully check out the schools. This is not considered Greystone (Hoover schools), nor is it unincorporated Shelby County like Brook Highland area that is directly behind the complex. This complex is City of Birmingham, & the high school for this area is Huffman - by Centerpoint, over 21 miles away

I don't have kids...so I don't care about the school zone. And the apartments themselves are great. The staff is awesome and they have a HUGE movie screen where they do outdoor movies. It's really cool. This place is great! (Except for the school zone, I guess...)

If you did have kids you would care, that's the reason I decided against the apartments.I don't even understand how they are zoned for Birmingham City. Those schools are at least 20 miles away. Maybe the people who own the Springs like it that way in order to deter families from moving there. They should be zoned for Shelby County or Hoover schools. All of the apartments nearby, the Meadows at Brook Highland, Eagle Ridge, Madison at Shoal Run, etc. are Shelby County. It's unfortunate that it's that way b/c I'm sure they have lost a lot of potential tenants for this reason.

The school zone for this apartment complex isn't centerpoint! It's either Oak Mountain which may I add is a very reputable school district and/or Spain Park which is part of Hoover city schools, which is also a very good school. I have no clue where you got centerpoint from! That way or shape even close to greystone. Maybe you need to get your information straight!

Actually, the schools are Birmingham City...McElwain-Elementary, Putnam-Middle & Huffman-High School. The schools an apartment complex is zoned for is not up to the management company, it is up to the city, and where the complex is located. From what I understand, Springs at Greystone sits right on the county line. They did not chose to be zoned for schools 20 minutes away...but that's how it is. The apartments themselves are awesome! I would recommend anyone that has kids to come and consider the private school right down the street if they don't like the public schools!
