Things you don't know...

I live on the ground level in a one bedroom apartment. The walls are so thin that I can hear everything the people upstairs do. And I mean everything--using the bathroom, talking, watching tv, walking, turning on the water, having sex, etc. It is extremely disturbing. I have lived here for about 7 months and have had numerous noise complaints. I have lived in various apartments over the past 11 years and I would definitely say this is the noisest. The apartments are nice for the price but I would pay more for something more peaceful. I use to live in Lake Heather Reserve and I would move back (although it was more expensive).
As far as the staff goes, they are very friendly. Most of my maintenance problems have been fixed quickly. However, the building is new and there are many issues. The apartment has track lighting in the kitchen/living area. The light bulbs blow ALL the time. The sealing around the front door is terrible. There is a huge gap that always air from outside in. This increases my power bill. The outdoor light (and all of my neighbors' outdoor lights) have been out for months. I think something is wrong with the wiring on this building.
Anyway, hope this helps!

Have you complained about this to the maintenance people? I am planning on moving here and all the other reviews say that the maintenance people fix everything immediately. If so, why haven't they fixed this?

Have you told the staff about the noise problems you are having? I had similiar problems when I first moved in, and I talked to the girls in the office about it...they were more than helpful, and it hasn't happened since. They even called me a couple weeks later just to check on me and make sure I didn't need anything else!
