I've lived here for almost a year and absolutely love this complex. The staff is incredible. Gwen (in the office) is possibly the nicest and most helpful person I have met since I moved to the state of Alabama. Major and Ted are fabulous maintenance staff. I've had very few maintenance orders and they have been fulfilled immediately. The fitness center is very clean and well kept, as is the pool.

In response to several 'bug problem' claims, I would like to let possible renters know that, in my building at least, there are no bug problems. You may come across the occasional water bug/roach (I've encountered 1 or 2 since I moved in), but there are no more bugs here than you would expect to find in any home.

As far as the "loud music" claims, this is not a problem in my building. Many of the residents here are 35 , so loud music isn't an issue. I believe I have 1 neighbor who plays loud music occasionally, but it is quiet by around 8pm.

I feel very safe here. Coming home late isn't an issue, I don't worry about walking to my door. I can understand how some people may feel nervous because the whole complex is surrounded by trees and wooded areas. In these areas are deer and other wildlife that walk around at night. So you can hear leaves rustling.

Honestly I can only think of 2 things that I wish were different: (#1) the price is a little steep, but I don't mind paying more since I like the place so much and (#2) I wish I lived closer to town but I won't move because I enjoy living here and I've seen many of the other complexes that are closer. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

Did you get paid to write this? There are no deer living at Turtle Lake! Only ducks, bugs, and rodents.
