Personally, I would definitely recommend anyone to live here. The prices might be a bit too much but still fair considerably it is a 280 location and you are close to everything. One small problem is the location when entering Turtle Lake... for me especially who works nights and when I drive home from work 7 in the morning I have to sit and wait for all the traffic coming from Chelsea area which can be a bit frustrating since there is no stop light. On the bright side I basically have the whole parking lot for myself since everybody leaves for work. So parking is never an issue for me.
The draining pond is unfortunate because of the draught and is something no one can help. It just sucks for those of you who pay an extra $100 a month for the view. Looks like the pond is filling back up, though.
It is a calm and quiet community so for those of you seeking peace and quiet this is IT!!!
Two thumbs up for the staff... Stacie and Teresa are TERRIFIC!!! I've had very little complaints and they've always taken care of it right away. Teresa and Stacie love children and are always very friendly and always excited to see tenants bring their kids in for a visit! They always wave at you when you are outside and ask how you are doing with a sincere smile. Best staff I've ever had...hands down!!!
Maintenance is good too. We had some problem in the past reaching them after hours but lately it's been a lot better. I think they ordered new radios or something. They are extremely friendly and always eager to fix your problems. Sometimes when I take my trash outside during the day they offer to take it down to the dumpster for me. They take their time to show me how to fix things next time should something happen in my apt.
Bugs. We've had a lot of bug problems here is probably my only real issue, but this is Alabama and that's what you get for living in this State... then on top of that draught makes matters worse and bugs seek to move indoors... especially ants, roaches and spiders. Right now we are dealing with ant infestation in our master bathtub so we spray a lot.
There isn't too much to do here. It's obvious that this community was meant for the peace and quiet. Hardly ever any disturbance. The tennis court has not been properly maintained, there is no playground for kids, small gym with limited eqipment for those into fitness but reasonble for others, no speed bumps as people drive like maniacs and only certain apartments are allowed to have satellites which I think is unfair and they only offer two bedrooms. If they offered 3 bedrooms i would probably stay.
All in all, this is a nice community with great staff and maintenance! And like I said, I do recommend it!

I would NOT recommend these apartments to anyone ... they are overpriced! I agree that tennis courts have not been properly maintained, gym equipment broken at times, I ripped clothing more than once on deteriorating railings, problems with plumbing, bug and rodent problems, and snakes in the pond. Dog "droppings" not picked up, and duck poop everywhere! Duck mating rituals very disturbing. Not much to do but emergency vehicles are annoying with fire department next door.
