Don't let the fake personality of the office fool you when looking for this as a place to live. They are cordial and overwhelmingly helpful when you come to look and appear they will do anything for you. Wrong! Once you become a tenant that nice handshake and grin aren't that way anymore, especially if you complain about a problem with your unit. Don't rent an apartment based on how "nice" the office was to you, remember they are trying to rent to you to make money and keep numbers up. You look for what you will have to me living in and around. Check out the way tenants keep their balconies, the fixtures in the units, how old the carpet appears and if the unit was cleaned. Look at baseboards and counters and the things you will have to put up with when living there. The model is not a good reflection of anything at that complex unless you rent that exact style apartment. So don't waste your time. As a tenant there I had to report issues several times sometimes to get something done. Tenants talk and I have heard from other residents horror stories of mold, mildew and "egg smells" in the breezeway. My advice, come late in the afternoon when the office closes or on the weekend and talk to any tenants outside about living there. Chances are you will get a totally different feel once your away from the "fake" sales person in the office.
