All I can say is that I can't wait until my lease is up in September so I can get out of here. For the majority of the buildings, parking is inadequate which leads to you having a long walk to your apartment. This could be a security issue for people coming in late at night as the lights outside of our building have been out for a few months. Im not sure when they took the pictures they use in their ads, but it wasnt anytime recent. They do a good job of maintaining the area around the office, but around the other buildings and lake(swamp) it's nasty. The pool is significantly better than it was when I first moved here, but the hot tub still remains dirty and cold. The maintenance guy is great and we haven't had any issues with his work. The problem seems to come with getting the office people to send maintenance out. We had water leaking in from the apartment upstairs and the maintenance guy was quick to come stop the leak to prevent further damage. We were told that the office would have painters out within the next week, but that has been several months now and still nothing. Last spring during a storm, one of the trees on the property fell onto my vehicle. The office personnel offered no help in getting my vehicle fixed. I had no problem with covering the damage with my insurance, but I thought they could atleast take my $500 deductable off of my next months rent. When I stopped in the office, the manager looked at me like I was crazy for asking and said that they weren't going to cover any of the vehicles damaged. If you are afraid of dogs, then I definitely wouldnt move here. There are several large dogs that run around all the time not on a leash. The office personnel can't say that they are unaware of this problem because the dogs are always running around right outside of the office. There are also several cats that live on the property and are constantly on and around the cars.
The rent is fairly reasonable for the area for the first year, but after that you can expect about a $100 jump every year. They do offer garages for $90 a month which is nice. The only problem with it is mine is 2 blocks away from my apartment and floods everytime it rains.
