Why is everyone complaining so much about such ridiculous things... lizard in your bedroom' They're called salamanders and they're all over Alabama, as well as cockroaches so if you're scared of bugs move out of the state, because it's hot here and they don't die off in what we call winter. The apartments are located in a great place 10-15 to UAB and Hoover, the complex is clean and fairly quiet. The only way you hear people above you is if they weigh 300lbs and they play football (which my neighbors did but never after 10pm). Overall it's very safe, people drive through the wood gate fence and break it a lot which I agree should be made out of something more stable such as steel, but oh well. Oh and the apartments stay reasonably cool in the summer because the high ceilings help circulate the air. Take the rest of the reviews with a grain of salt and see the complex for yourself.

I have lived in Wildwood apartments for 2 months now, and i can safely say that I feel safe and secure at all times... lots of army folks ,families, very sober college students, docs and nursing staff from uab living here.I came down to look at apartments ,saw them and rented one all in the same day.. only to go back home before actually moving into this place and come across this web site where everyone is complaining about one thing or the other..not to mention some posts where you actually feel like it might be a creepy or scary place to live...one guy did get mugged by the garbage dumpster at 1 am.. but what the hell was he doing throwing his garbage away at 1 am anyway.... i was dreading the thought of living here after reading these posts...but i can safely say that after two months of living here, (with all the above negative information ) that my experience has been nothing less than plesant.... a few roaches.. but hey.. its bama.. what do you expect... the apartment stays cool most of the day..i have not come across any of the so called "noisy neighbors", ..the maintenance staff is very polite and prompt ..as well as the office staff..only thing is the parking lot could be use a few more lights in the evening.. but even so i always have parking right in front of my builiding no matter what time i get home... i would reccomend this apartment complex to anyone!especially all you ppl working downtown its a 10 minute drive.. that too at peak time traffic...
