These apartments are poorly managed and maintained. The parking is horrible, there are roaches no matter what you do. They do not clean up the trash that other residents throw out in the woods. The maintainance staff is hardly that, they only come when they want to check something, (like something that is not even broken) and if you do give them a request, they take their time and do a bad job with it. The managment in the office may seem very nice to get you in the door, however, once you have signed the lease, they couldn't care less about you. If you are in the market for a nice apartment, I would strongly suggest that you avoid Wood Gardens Apartments. They will not let you out of your lease if you decide to buy a home, but most apartments do. The pool is not kept clean and half the time the security officer doesn't even unlock it. Living here has been a nightmare!!!! We are counting down the days until the lease is up.

This resident is mad because she was asked to pay $25 for a home mortgage verification which is company policy. Most apartment communities DO NOT allow you out of your lease when buying a home. Call around and ask, that is not good business sense. This is when people place bogus complaints on here. Why hasn't she complained before now.

Actually, I am mad because I had to take the mortgage verification by the office myself!!!! My mortgage broker faxed the form and couldn't get a response for over a week. The management was too lazy to verify the names on our lease and caused a lot of unneccesary confusion and wasted time. I didn't bother to post anything until this point because I didn't know about this site until I began to search for the owners of this property so that I could complain. My complaints are by no means bogus. Every item in my complaint is true. If you decide to move into these poorley managed apartments, you will know that everything I am saying is 100% true. This complex is only concerned with money, not residents. The management spends too much time trying to clear their name on the internet and not enough time trying to actually fix the problems or address complaints.

I moved to Wood Gardens apartment the summer of 2006. After I signed my lease and entered my apartment I was missing a refrigerator along with having a dishwasher that wasn't working. When I informed management about the issues they said the problem would be fixed by the end of the week. Keep in mind the apartment should be move-in ready by the time the lease is signed. I had several maintenance problems the entire year and management failed to do their job on a timely manner. I was never late or evicted from my apartment, I was a good tenant! I have read several blogs were management is defending their property by saying the "bad" reviews are only from customers who have been evicted or didn't pay their rent on a timely manner. That's a false statement! And last but not least from my understanding most apartments do let you out of a lease if you are purchasing a home.

Like some of u, i was looking for a site to write a letter to the corp office, when i stumbled on this site. I have been living in these apts for almost one yr now. I was very unhappy when i first moved into these apts. As u said,, nothing was ready,, infact it took almost two months for everything to be done , that should have been done prior to me moving into my apt. And i agree to one persons comments on here,, that management sure is nice to ur face to get u to sign that lease, but after that, they act like they dont know u or u are a big bother. I have seen several ppl come and go in that office,, but still i feel u cant trust anything they say. which gets me to my reason for searching the corp site. Now that i have everything worked out in my apt,, my things are settled, I am settled. I wanted to inguire abt renewing my lease,, for the simple fact that these apts are so close to my job, and i really didnt want to go thru the moving thing all over again. well, i was told that my rent would go up $50. in my opinion that is way to much. I ask to speak to the manager,, she was busy , said she would call me back. Do to lact of response, i went by the office again,, and was told,, by another office person that my rent would go up by $35. Now i find out, that they are leasing to new people for the same amt i am currently paying. This makes me mad. they do all this to get new ppl, but what abt their current renters. It seems like they would want to keep renters who pay their rent on time and dont cause any problems, and want to stay. By the way i am one of those renters.

Most apartments do not let you out of your lease to purchase a home, do some research. There are very very few still out there that do this. It is not good business. Also to the person wanting to renew for a lessor rate. It sounds like you moved in on a special and that is just what it was a special offer. You can not stay that rate forever. You should be increased each time your lease comes up for renewal until you hit the market rate. Market rate is not what people are being offered on the special price. People can not just give apartments away.
