Ok you want the true scoop on this place; well I m the one that knows it.
First of all just take a look at it from the outside, old roofing that leaks, vinyl siding off everywhere, breezeway light hanging from electrical cords, a unsafe condemned playground with no gate or bark on the ground, a pool that is chipping up and brown, a garbage compactor that a kid could fall in because there is no safety railing around it, and much more.

Now let s look inside, you will find the cheapest of everything, faucets, stoves, fridge, and dishwashers and believe me they will move you in before the apartment are even ready. If they have to order something it takes weeks. They clean the stove pans instead of giving you new ones; they will put the cheapest self sticking tile over the linoleum instead putting quality floors down. The carpets may not show pet stains on top but just pull up a corner and look at the padding. If you look in the tank of the toilet you will find water dams and orange water savers so the property can save money on water. Every plumber will tell you not enough water going down leads to backups in the apartments and yes they have backups a lot. Can you imagine your apartment full of other peoples crap?

Office people are sweet but not always true full, and will smill to your face and talk behind your back. They never keep people, it is a constant rotating workforce, and the property shows it. They can t keep managers, maintaince security or grounds people because they are driven into the ground. I often see the same guy s seven days a week working late. A property this size usually has more maintenance people. They are undermanned and again the property shows it. I heard that the same maintenance guy has to pull on call for three properties, so if you have an emergency they might get to you or the might not.

Before moving here or any apartment ask to walk around and take a look for yourself. Also talk to people that lives there because they will be your best bet on information about the place.

Ever watch a movie that shows people living in apartments in New York City were the residence never gets things fixed and the owner is a slum lord. Well just guess were the owner is from.

I wish that I had found this site before I moved here with my son. Hopefully I will be moving out soon because this place has No quality, No quality, and No quality. Get the picture!!!

Maintaince, they work as hard as

I agree 100% and more. The sad part about the conditions that exist at Wood Gardens these days is that they only got this bad after DEL Property Management took over sometime in early 2007. Honestly, I truly loved living there up until then (and I lived there for NINE YEARS). Before that, maintenance NEVER made you wait a week to get something fixed. Once, my hot water heater sprang a major leak and they replaced the carpeting throughout the apartment within 24 hours, even though it was only ruined in the hallway and the bedroom. Of course, that was BEFORE DEL. I don't know if it's because the onsite staff is MUCH smaller, or the new crew just doesn't care, but something definitely changed for the worse last year. Whenever management reads these "negative" reviews, they always claim "it's nothing but disgruntled, evicted tenants who are only mad because they can't get their deposits back". Nay. Nay. I wasn't a disgruntled tenant and I certainly didn't get evicted (I was never even late with my rent or had any complaints lodged against me). I DID become so completely disillusioned with what had become of my once-cherished Wood Gardens, I had no qualms about leaving.

I have been out of this place for almost three months. I can soy one good thing about these apartments. They didn't try to hagle us out of our security deposit or make up a bunch of crap that needed to be replaced. My advise to anyone living in these apartments is that if you have a problem, speak to Amanda or Deitra. They are the only two people in that office that actually know whats going on or are slightly concerned with their tennants!! I still say this wasnt the best place to live, but for the price it wasn't all that bad.

Just had to amend my above response. Amanda is indeed still there, thank goodness, but Deidre and Robert are gone.
