I've had no problems here.

I'm kind of puzzled as I read a lot of the negative reviews... I've been here since last summer and, while it's not a luxurious or grand place to live, it has been decent and affordable. The maintenance staff has always been very responsive when I've had problems (squeaky fridge, leaky toilet were both fixed within 24 hours of me calling them). There is a bug problem but you're dumb if you think you aren't going to have some bugs in Alabama, especially if you live on a bottom level apartment. My bug problems are always cleared up when they come to spray. Also I have never had any mice. I did have roaches at one point but I started being more diligent about cleaning my kitchen (NO CRUMBS or dirty dishes left in sink) before going to bed at night and they went away.
I have heard that parking can be a problem further back in the development, but I live in the front building and have never had a problem.
Although I probably won't be renewing my lease next month, I would recommend Wood Springs to anyone who is on a budget. The apartments are decent and you can't beat the location.
