Well, where do I begin' Ok....let's talk about the management, or should I say the (no)management. I've been here for 14 months and I'm on my fourth set of managers. For four months in a row I had a notice attached to my door REQUIRING me to come by and pay a supposed shortfall on my rent payment. It seems because of the constant management turnover, the management's computer would show that I was not paying the correct amount, and each time I would go by the office and show them I was correct and their computer was wrong....which they would agree ("oh so sorry, we will get this fixed") the error would not get corrected.....because of the turnover. Last month was the first time in four months I didn't get the notice....so...LOL...maybe they finally got it right. But that's a minor inconvenience. The major problem I have with management is: they chose to move into the apartment directly above me a young, immature punk that is one of their maintainence men.....and since then I have been abused by this inconsiderate individual's behavior. Didn't take long to see it was going to be a nightmare. This kid moved in on a Thursaday and two days later, Saturday at 3:30am in the morning, I was awakened by a brawl above my head. This punk had gotten falling down, drunk out of his mind and was wrestling with a buddy of his at 3:30am !!!! They were even outdoors on the balconey! When, after knocking on their door they refused to open it, I called the cops. The next Monday, management said they were sorry and it would not happen again. Since that date forward I have had nothing but trouble with this young, immature punk making all kinds of racket.....jumping, running, falling down on the floor, cigarette ashes and butts on my furniture on my balconey, loud talking after 12:00am at night outside on his balconey, which I could hear every word while in my bed trying to sleep. A month later I was woke up again at 1:30am...this time by 15 to 20 kids gathered in his apartment, talking loud outside on the balconey, stomping around. I found puke from drunken kids on the steps below the next day. I have called the cops three times now since this kid moved in. The last time I confronted him I thought we were going to come to blows. I was trying to do paperwork at my kitchen table when..WHAM!...directly above me someone, something hit the floor, very hard. Then it happened again, then a third time. I went upstairs and "talked" with this kid. He stated he was "working". Apparently, management is letting him do some of his work in his apartment! Which I would not care so long as it didn't sound like my roof as coming down! This kid threatened me stating now....I would not get any sleep! Management has singled me out for abuse at the hands and feet of their own employee!! I have complained numerous times...all to no avail. Oh....it will quieten down for a day or two after I complain....but then it's back to this inconsiderate person's behavior. I asked them to move him but my requests have been ignored. I can not believe this company will allow one of their own employees to abuse one of their tenents in such a manner.
I am considering bringing a lawsuit. I am now looking for another home to move to. I can not wait to be gone. I'm documenting everything now, readying to bring my suit. I also am going to write letters to the BBBureau, the newspapers, and other media outlets such as this site, to get the word out of what I am going through at the hands of this awful company and it's employee. There several other issues I have a problem with as well. The extra charge for the water is totally unfair. The lease has "got ya" clauses in it that are obviously designed.... not to provide incentive for timely payment of rent, proper care of your apartment, but to maximize their profits. The construction quality of the apartments is such that if you are as unfortunate as I was and get an immature, inconsiderate punk
moved in above you...well..you're just screwed. If you are not in the first lowest level of apartments, parking IS indeed a problem! Noise from the Boomer Ghetto style cars is a problem....you can hear them outside from inside your apartment. My neighbors that live next to me (very nice, mature, considerate young married couple) told me about having two different maintainence men on two different ocassions...just walk in, completely unannounced, no knock no nothing....and I have read on this site of similar complaints from other tenents as well. I could go on and on. Do yourself a favor and never consider this unprofessional operation. The handful of "Yes" recommendations on this site for this hellhole versus the "NOs" speaks volumnes doesn't it' I'm going to sue these SOBs in small claims court. I don't even care if I win or not...just knowing I have caused them to retain an attorney and their expense will be enough. My life has been miserable since they moved this punk in above me and I want these SOBs to pay for my pain and suffering. i hear ya man i had friends that lived there it is a --------. no parking, water getting shut off for 4 days in the dead of summer. all kinds of b/s. i had a nightmare at Riverside Parc do not even consider that rats nest. ill write more later on....or check out my review "1 and a half year headache" at riverside parc's reviews.....
