I lived here from 2004-2005, and wished I never moved to this property. I moved out here from Texas, where rapid construction is more important than quality construction. The apartment we lived in was BRAND NEW meaning nobody every lived here before. The building was only a couple months old, therefore wear and tear was not to blame. First, I noticed that our front door would not close without literally slamming it, due to, I'm guessing the construction workers beating the tar out of it, as there were dents all over the door. Second, everytime we would vacuum, the carpet would constantly get sucked up into it. We thought nothing of it at first, as we figured it was probably just new carpet. Well, after 4 months, we figured it probably wasn't the NEW of the carpet, but the quality. Third, doorknobs fell off like there was a magnetic push from the door (unlikely). Then, the first time we used our stove, meaning nothing had been in it what-so-ever, it caught fire! I still have no solution to that one, but who knows. Fifth, the fire alarms were so erratic it drove me crazy. I'm almost wondering if they were carbon monoxide detectors, and we weren't told, and the apartment had an issue with CO, as that would fit the stove fire issue, for possibly a gas leak. We also had very strange charactors coming to our door when I would be at work. I would generally work from 4 p.m.-12 a.m., so my fianc??e at the time would be home alone. On numerous occasions, there was a strange country-looking man walking in the woods behind us, very close to the tree line. One night, I even came home and he was sitting at our staircase. Then there was a very large, suspicious looking man that came knocking on the door when I was at work, and when I say large, I mean LARGE! I'm 6'3 and 260, and this guy made me look like a little guy. The office staff was very, VERY friendly, though sometimes a bit... may I say blonde' We had to cut our lease short, as my now wife (an ex-cancer patient) had to quit work, as she was getting sick again (not with cancer), and I didn't want to risk anything. They worked with us in paying back our discount ($200 off for first 5 months), our concession, and other contracted fees. Somedays she would actually lose count of how much we'd paid, and other goofs, but no big deal. The staff was overall very friendly, but the property itself is not what it seems. Sure, the mountain views ARE breath taking, as I hadn't seen them for 13 years, so I fell in love. They are also beautiful on the outside. It could've been just my specific building (1011), so be wary if you look at apartment 632.
