ive lived in my 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment in wheeler estates for 7 months now and i cant say theres really anything major to complain about. the apartments are only a year or so old.i bought my apartment brand new so noone lived in it before me. it was very clean. the apartments give you the feeling that they were built very quickly. there are a few minor construction problems. the door to the bathroom closet was too short so they put a few blocks of wood under it to heighten it. caulk wasnt put around the toilet so sometimes a little water leaks out from the bottom of the toilet. i had a noisy upstairs neighbor because she had a child that liked to run around all day but they have left now and i never hear the people above me. the only time i hear my next door neighbor is when my apartment is totally quiet and im sitting next to the wall.there arent any amenities to the place. no pool or gym. there are 2 washer and dryers in each building which you have to pay for. 1.25 to wash/75 cents to dry.my rent was real low. $404 a month for 2 bedrooms. i had to pay $10 for an extra window that i didnt really want.the paint on the walls is very cheap. i already had a few nicks on the walls just from moving in. just brushing something to it will leave some sort of mark. parking is great in my apartment.cant say for the rest.the grounds arent good at all. just scattered grass and rocks.the buildings were built out in the middle of a field so maybe the soil isnt good there. i fear that years down the road this place will deteriorate greatly. i dont think the production values were high.ive had one problem with the ac that was taken care of that day. the lock on my screen door has been broken off since the day i moved in. thats about it though. ive never had a problem with any of the staff. the guy that fixed my ac was very nice. the things i like about the apartment was that its pretty spacious. you can actually call it home. the nice big closet in the bedroom is a plus. ive never had a problem with the cable internet or cable that ive got from pcl. this was a very good experience for my first apartment.
