I currently live at Oates Estates. From the outside (and the sales pitch) it sounds great. The apartments are fairly new, but poorly made. In the first month I had to call maintenance about 5 times - dishwasher broke, toliet problems (still will overflow - don't even call on that anymore), air condition floze up, door knob fell off my closet door (fixed that one myself), leak from "ice maker" upstairs which leaked in to my bathroom (suppose to come paint stain on the ceiling'!' - um no paint), shower head is screwed up, there are far too many "large" pets (upstairs neighbor has 2 labs that are definetely over the weight limit I was told when I moved in) and another neighbor CLEARLY has a pitbull that is kept in plain sight on their porch (told when I moved in NO PIT BULLS), playground equipment looks like it has been attached by crazy people (an entire slide is missing on one of the sets''), the kids here are brats (took my 3 year old nephew out to the playground and a bunch of teenagers were there - they left in a not so happy way so he could play and when I get back to my apartment I had my door covered in pieces of pepperoni'!'!' - original prank but rude), and then there is the strange bug problem in my bedroom. And then the upstairs neighbors that vacuum at midnight!!! Honestly I don't even call management anymore. Another thing is the "indoor" halways. They are gross. They are suppose to be cleaned and periodically repainted. Most of the time is just smells like a wet dog and there are stains on the carpet. In addition there are certain "groups" of people that are stuffing their apartments with more people than they are suppose to. I can't believe that a lease would allow as many people living in one apartment as I have seen. I just stay in my apartment, come and go as I have to and count the months until my lease runs out! I could write more but I'm getting annoyed and I have stil have to live here.

i agree with you 100 percent on everything you said. i dont know what building you live in but mine is the same way. they look nice from the outside but our very poorly made and the people who live above me are discusting they throw stuff onto my porch all the time. lol sounds like were in the same complex unless others are the same. and people definitly do not clean up after theyre dogs its horrible. i think they started letting the lower class people in here that's what happeened and the hallways are horrible they dont clean them right!! i could go on and on myself but i'd rather not i dont have all day to type lol

I agree with both of you 100 percent on everything yall have said.Did yall live here when the SWAT TEAM came out and clean out the hole apartment complex out. And the BEER DRINK at the pool is crasy.Amber sets at her desk and says nothing to these people it looks like after the guy drawned in the pool last summer Amber would, but her makup is more important.

I agree with all of you. Amber yelled at me today because my dog barked at someone. I'm sorry, I thought gunshots at 4am would be more important than a dog barking. I think they started taking HUD housing people out here. And oh btw, the dogs are just fertilizing the weeds when they poop. The landscaping is horrible. I could have moved to Johnson or Martin homes and had cheaper rent and lived in the same conditions.Lease is out in December, counting down the days.
