Brairwood is the best value for one person in this area. There are a lot of new places going up right now...you can live there for the same price if you want a roomate. If you want to live alone then this is the place for you.
Pros:

Within minutes of the Enterprise gate of Ft. Rucker

Pool area well maintained
Lots of parking
Safe, quiet residential area
Close to shopping areas
Maintenance fast and efficient
Monthly Bug spray included....we very rarely see roaches
Nice, new laundry facility

Cons:
Parking lot is not lit very well
Building rundown
Appliances old - our stove wont heat evenly and our freezer leaks
Can hear upstairs neighbors moving around
Very small hot water heater=short showers
Carpets old and stained
Wallpaper outdated

In spite of the cons I still highly recommend this place only because its really cheap. For short term living its very adequate. Our apartment was actually broken into while we were away...but because of what they stole we think it was kids. Maintenance come out the next day and changed the lock and added a deadbolt.
