My husband and I have lived in Forest River since September 2005. We have not had any problems or complaints. Sure, it has its problem areas just like any other neighborhood, but nothing that isn't being taken care of. The only reason these apartments have a bad reputation is due to ignorant people, and their one bad experience. People also just assume things from hearsay. My husband and I have a limited income, but this has been a nice place to start our life together until we can save for a house. Also, I want to add that we are not white trash nor are we druggies. Apparently you don't go outside at night or you will see what I see at night. If it's not so bad, how come they have undercover police and uniform wearing police living in the buildings now? That is when an apartment complex is out of control when the police have to start moving in to keep the violence down. I have a femaile friend there and she wants out as soon as her lease is up. I also had a boyfriend that stayed there and he had to deal with the rude staff on several ocassions. I also witnessed some things in the apartment complex that you only see in the ghetto (drugs, dopies, and violence).

IM 59 YEARS OLD AND MY WIFE IS 52 AND WE BOTH AGREE, THAT THIS IS ULTIMATLEY "THE" QUITEST PLACE WE HAVE EVER LIVED WE MOVED HERE FROM ALBERTVILLE AND COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. IF YOU HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL THE 800 NUMBER AND IT GETS HANDLED. SURE THERE IS A MIXTURE OF NATIONALITIES HERE DUE TO THE JUNIOR COLLEGE BEING SO CLOSE BUT WE'VE HAD NO-ONE BE NOTHING BUT NICE.THE FRONT OFFICE IS HARD TO REACH SOME TIMES BUT THEY STAY BUSY ABOUT NIT-PICKING A LOT OF TIMES. IF YOUR PROBLEM IS THAT LARGE OR YOUR COMPLAINT WARRANTS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION JUST GET OFF YOUR LAZY BOHONKUS AND GO DOWN THERE.KELLY WILL LISTEN!ON A SCALE OF 1-10 WE RATE FORREST RIVER A 9!!! YOU WILL "NOT" FIND ANOTHER APARTMENT IN GADSDEN ANY CHEAPER OR ANY NICER FOR THE MONEY THAN FORREST RIVER, I LOOKED AT ALL OF THEM. THE $99.00 MOVE IN SPECIAL SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO GET YOUE ATTENTION. ALL THE BAD STUFF YOU HEAR ABOUT FORREST RIVER IS JUST AS BAD AT ALL THE OTHER PLACES. ANY TIME YOU HAVE 250 APARTMENTS RENTED TO A DIVERSE BUNCH OF PEOPLE YOU ARE GOING TO MHAVE DRUG DEALERS AND DOMESTIC PROBLEMS. BUT BELIEVE IF THE POLICE GET CALLED IT GETS HANDLED. I PERSONALLY SEE AT LEAST 2 OR 3 POLICE CARS DAILY PATROLING THIS PLKACE PLUS THER ARE 3 GADSDEN POLICE OFFICERS THAT LIVE HERE. SO "DONT" LISTEN TO ALL THE BAD GARBLE ABOUT FORREST RIVER. IF YOU WANT A NICE QUITE PLACE ON THR RIVER AND SOMEWHERE THAT IS CLOSE TO "EVERYTHING". THEN YOU FOUND IT...................D.E.T
