Problems we have had with Colonial Grand apartments from 2003-2006, lease is up in Feb but they conveniently misplaced our 60 day notice and said they never recieved it, they are going to try to charge us more money before we leave, watch and see! I'll let you know! Stay tuned!!!!!!!!!!
1)Move in day, we were told we were not on the list to move in-apartment was a mess from "exploding hot water heater"-we had to stay with family for 2 days until it was cleaned!
2)Air conditioner stopped working 4!!! times finally the replaced the outside unit-meanwhile we sweltered for 2 days-it happeded on a Wednesday, we called each day after work and each day "no one ever wrote a work order" for the problem-middle of summer mind you
3)Bathroom bulbs keep burning out-flourescent strip lights
4)Strip light in kitchen fell out of ceiling and crashed to floor
5)Carpets had no molding between carpet edge and linoleum-nails loose and working their way out
6)The patio has a wooden trellice that is full of bees living in it-wasp nests outside the door along stairwell
7)It took them 2 years to fix the living room ceiling-just asthetics but still-called on it numerous times-their excuse was they heard a dog bark and they wouldn't come in even though I told them the dog is confined in a crate, small dog
8)They have misplaced numerous signed papers in the initial application process which were up to us to replace
9)There are 2 tredmills in the basement-one has been broken since I first moved in, and the other just broke in November-when I inquire, they say "maintenence has been called about it" thats all I get-what the hell do we pay extra for'!!!
10)Certainly not the gates that are advertised as part of the features in the brocure but have not been in effect since I first moved in in 2001!
11)My stereo was stolen out of my car
12)We got numerous flyers about the crimes that have been taken place in the area-they are becomming more abundant
13)There are PEOPLE LIVING IN THE STORAGE GARAGES-I SAW THEM AND THEIR MATRESSES AND LITTLE SET UP MYSELF THE THE STAFF DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT
These people are terrible and ruthless and very uncaring, I would not recommend the place under any cirmumstances, we didn't have much of a choice at the time.
Oh ya, we found out our one time neighbors had a carbon monoxide leak in their apartment and they refused to reimburse the tenents when they wanted to leave within 2 weeks of their moving in or to find another place to live. I believe their case is still pending.
Of course if they don't have a "Work order" for all these thing, it was never reported or it never happened.
This is not libel or slander, these are facts, things that really happeded to us.
