Nice apartments, bad amenities

The good: Units were nice, painted and papered walls, molding, track lighting. The leasing agents were nice and tried to help. They refunded my deposit 100% without being picky about the condition the apartment was left. There were 3 dog deposit posts that dispensed free bags. They offered garages but were slightly overpriced.
The bad: Gate was broken often, the tennis court nets were torn, the kids rode bikes and skates on the courts. The tennis courts had no gates so you lost ball out into the parking lot. The swimming pool was tiny and not well maintained. The pool furniture was weathered and had algae growing on it. The workout center was small containing two treads, a bike, a stair stepper, and a multi-gym which was missing some accessories. The bathrooms in the club house were dirty. Parking spots filled up quickly but if you wanted to walk alittle you wouldn't mind.
The Ugly: The parking lot lamps seemed to voer heat and reset every few minutes. So you could be right in the middle of unloading groceries and blackout! The remote deposit is $25 for the gate and $50 for a garage. Pet deposit is non refundable and $350 and they limit the pet to 35lbs. As a dog owner that is not acceptable. The promised activities seem to only benefit the employees of the complex, and are very infrequent. The car wash is a garden hose, and an overpriced vacuum machine beside a normal parking space. The playground area was covered with large chunky cedar chips that were old and rotting.
There was only one BBQ pit which happened to be at the far end of the complex from my unit.
