What WAS... ain't no more!

The HEALTH Department recently CLOSED the pool! What does that tell you'
My Mom always said there?s a foolproof way to tell how clean a restaurant?s kitchen may be. Just check rest rooms. If they?re filthy, the kitchen is probably the same.
In other words, the signals are usually clear. Read on and the truth about this place will become clear to you!
TREE Crossings is now RIDGE Crossings. But the name is not the only change of late. This place has gone to hell.
Whether it?s a lemonade stand or a multi-national corporation, problems within any company can always be traced back to management. Management here sucks!
New owners took over this place. They fired the previous staff ? a group of friendly, helpful people who had worked here for years. They were replaced by people who give me the impression they previously worked at the welfare office ? fat, stupid and rude.
The grounds here were previously well groomed and manicured. Groundskeepers were continuously working to make it nice. They still have an occasional yard staff ?swoop? through, but they are very lackluster in the performance of their work. Plus, they replaced much of the nicer flora with generic, low-maintenance stuff. It?s just not the same anymore.
One of the previously attractive features of this place was the fact that it was built among the trees. The new management has taken to cutting a lot of them ? and without asking what we think. I came home one afternoon and found that the tree that shaded my apartment from the afternoon sun, and my bedroom window from the street, was no longer there. Why' They said they thought it was best for the appearance of the building.
The buildings previously blended in beautifully with the surrounding hillside and trees. But they?ve screwed that up, too. They've had aluminum siding placed over the outside of the buildings and painted it a whitish, creme color. And what shoddy workmanship! They had a swarm of -------- doing the labor. Now, it looks like any other apartment complex. The uniqueness that made this place great is gone.
Other items of contention since the new management took over...
My rent was raised 18.4% with no warning prior to lease renewal. I could have chosen to sign a shorter lease (than one-year), but the increase would have been even greater if I had.
Getting maintenance when you need it is a rare occurrence. The light that illuminates the parking area outside my building has been burned out for months. And the light in the breezeway of my building has been out for over one month. I have repeatedly asked for them to be fixed.
The quality of tenant here has suddenly begun to deteriorate. Undesirables are moving in.
The pool is still filthy and you never know which days it will be open or closed. There doesn?t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
The laundry room is nasty. Around one-half of the machines don?t work. And if you lose your money, forget it. The Manager informed me that she could not confirm that I had actually lost any money. Did I mention fat, stupid and rude'
The so-called ?gym? or fitness room was closed for what seemed an eternity because the equipment was unsafe. It?s open again but the equipment has only been repaired to a point of safety. It?s still old, ratty and useless!
I read in some of the other reviews where people were having a problem with mice. I?ve had only one mouse, but that was one too many. It was the mother possum and her babies that made a nest on my patio that got my attention. I was told that it was "normal" for such a thing to happen because the apartments were in the woods. Then they said they?d get someone to take care of it right away. Three days later, I had to trap the critters in a cardboard box and move them to deeper woods myself.
They used to spray for bugs like clockwork - each and every month. Now, they don't unless you request it. Do I have to tell you what's happened as a result' The bugs are thriving. Just last night I had to do battle with one of those GIANT cockroaches.
I could go on but I think I?ve made my point. What used to be a nice, quite complex has changed - and drastically so! Dollar-grabbing morons now manage the place. Their interest is in counting their profits ? not in the comfort and satisfaction of their tenants.
Would I recommend you live here' Not anymore!
