Look elsewhere!!!!

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I have lived here for a year now, and have lived in two different apartments. I had a list of repairs that needed to be done on my first apartment, but after 7 months only a few of the things were done. I moved from a 2 bedroom to a 1 bedroom (due to a roommate moving out), and ended up with MORE problems!
First - this apartment has a horrible bug problem. The apartment is infested with silverfish and spiders. Large bugs get in from the outside at least every other day, I have found 6 scorpions (YES SCORPIONS) in my apartment since I've been here. I have pest control out here on a regular basis, but bugs are still an issue. I've also had them replace the weatherstripping around my front door, and caulk around my windows, so YES, I've tried everything!
Second - The water goes out ALL THE TIME!!!! I do not like going to work without a shower, but I have no choice today.
Third - The police are always out here for some reason. I know that a couple of Hoover police offers live here, but they are out here for different reasons. I'm starting to feel scared. Is the crime that bad here!
Fourth - When I moved into my new apartment I had a list of things that needed to be done. (1) I needed the mirror in the bathroom replace (it was broken when I moved in). It took them 3 months to send someone. By that time I had replaced the thing MYSELF! (2) I requested someone to paint over the UGLY & OUTDATED wallpaper in my kitchen. I've been here over 4 months and this still has not been done. I don't even care about that anymore!
I will not renew my lease here when it is up in April 2009. There are just TOO MANY problems with this place. I recommend you look elsewhere (I wish I had)! It also took them 4 trips out to fix my A/C a few months ago. They wanted to tell me "they maybe as cool as it gets". Finally a guy came buy and did something to the valves on my hot water heater, and it fixed the issue. Turns out there are valves on the water heater that (if left open during the summer) will keep the A/C from getting cold. NO JOKE! I don't get it either, but this is truly the case.
Update: 8/20/08! I spoke with the leasing office today because the water went out AGAIN! This is twice this week. I was told that these buildings (and pipes) are 20 years old, and the PVC pipes are buried under rock that keeps breaking the pipes. She told me it's not possible to replace all the pipes at once (which I already know), and that they can only replace them as they break. She also let me know that it's also an inconvenience for the leasing office as well, because they have to go up the street to use the restroom. All I have to say is that it's also a bigger inconvenience to not be able to take a bath before going to work, to not have water to food and clean with, and not have water to be able to use the restroom (when you actually pay to live here).
