Ridge Crossings formerly Tree Crossings Apartment Homes
< | >
I have been at ridge crossings over six months. when I first moved in they were nice but then I have notice how certain tenants they will allow to transfer to other apts but other tenants (we know whom I am referring to) you will not be able to move. They do not care about the safety of the tenants only about getting the quota met for the month. The walls are very thin you can hear your neighbors walking above you; flushing the toliet; taking a shower all of this money we pay to live here you should not be able to to hear anyone walking; the phones ringing. I am defintely looking to move out of ridge crossing when my lease is up and I will not recommend anyone to stay there. I have been to several other apartment complexes in the hoover area and they are much nicer. Tenants apts are being broken into but hell they do not care so neither do I that is why I defintiely will be moving

I feel your pain I lived under someone with kids. Her kids were animals they would run and jump like there was no one living under them. She and her husband would have sex (glad he was a minute man) that would wake me out of my sleep. I moved to get away from them and ended up in hell. I have a neighbor that barbeques every day. The pipes knock when you use hot or cold water, if someone uses the dryer my dryer fills with water and my kitchen always smells of mildew. So like you when my lease is up I am moving as well.

I agree! We just moved out at the end of April. They put all of that money in a damn movie theater, re-did the fitness center (BTW, the damn tv doesn't even work, nor does the leg press machine), re-did the tennis court and the "internet cafe". Let me tell you about the internet cafe: My kids were at the pool last Summer and it was a little too hot outdoors for me, so I decided I would just chill out on the inside with my laptop. Why not, that's what it's there for, right? Right. The management staff made me feel so uncomfortable. They all took turns walking in staring at me like I was some damn anomaly! They made me feel as if I was not suppose to be there. After paying my $1300/mth rent, I felt that I could go any damn where I please on the property! The apartments look like crap on the inside. They never remodeled any of them. Don't get suckered in by the model, because that's not what you'll get. I know this for a fact because after one of my neighbors moved out, I held a conversation with the new tenants moving in and asked if I could see the interior. The same as mine... just with a fresh coat of paint.

Thank you for posting this review. I am in the middle of a 'transfer' situation with Ridge Crossings and as you said they will not allow me to move. I signed my lease one week ago only to find out that they placed me in a downstairs apartment on the back of the last building at the top of the complex. I have three children, all under 10 and I work nights. This is not a safe location for my children, nor for me coming in late at night. Three days after I signed my lease, I asked if there was another apartment available, and the manager said that there was nothing else available. This was not true! We rode around and talked to other tenents and found at least SIX other apartments that were vacant and had been for a while. I believe that they purposly placed us in the downstairs apartment because of my three children. I even had a Hoover Police officer explain to the apartment manager that he did not feel the location was safe for my family and all she said was that they did not allow transfers. For the amount of money that I am paying to stay at this property, I should be able to stay in any unit that I choose!! We are still in the process of trying to get another unit and I have not moved in yet (it's been two weeks). Hopefully the District Manager will be more accomodating to us.

listen to not think you will get any help from the area mgr because they me the same way. Plus the amount of money people are paying you should be able to stay where you feel safe at. I use to live on the downstairs terrace apt you probably have the one I moved out of and beleive me it is not safe there. If you want to know where I live I would be glad to let you know.

I also stayed there it truly was not the greatest experience. I tried to transfer to another unit after my Boyfriend died and they were not at all understanding. I was a student from out of state and just could not afford nearly 1000 each month in rent. I ended up getting evicted from the apartment with a baby and nowhere to go. Thanks staff of Ridge Crossing for helping to make my life that much harder in an already difficult time

Agreed agreed agreed. I have been here two yrs and miserable the entire time, finally about to move thank God. The rent is ridiculous, and so is the noise. All I hear all day & night are tires screaching across speed bumps & loud stereos blaring. My neighbors scream & yell all the time, the pipes in the walls make a loud banging noise when you use the hot water. There is a major insect problem, all of my walls have cracks & one has a large water stain from water leaking in the fireplace whenever it rains. This issue was supposedly repaired a long time ago, but yet it continues. The trash dumpster is always broken & residents pile there garbage miles high around the dumpster and it spills into the street. I could go on & on, long story short, you will hate it here.
