I needed to relocate to Goergia for my job. I completed 11 of my 12 month lease. According to my lease if I got relocated I could break my lease without penality if i gave notice and payed one month rent. Since I had only one month left the manager agreeded to use my security deposit to fulfill my obligation. I even had that in writing. No problem right' Fast forward two years I get a copy of my credit report and there is an default from them in the amount of $2,100.00 (my rent was only $900.00). I provided a forwarding address, the same place i still live at but never recieved any correspondence from them. I cannot find the original letter after two years i am sure i threy it out. They said we have no knowledge of any agreement, that manager is not working there any more and they want their money. This is the most unprofessional crew of clowns I have ever had the displeasure of knowing.

You are so right I was told the same and true enough its on my credit report as well and its under new management is the same lie I got as well

You are so right, I had a second child and couldnt afford paying the amount i was paying and asked if my deposit would be used toward the purpose and was told yes. Change of management and that went down the drain. I had mail that was forwarded my UPS to the office that I paid for and due to their being a young lady in the office pregnant as well. Im assuming this is where I lost or the package never arrived to the office excuse came in. Yet a UPS notice would be on my door.
Then we had ants that took over the house that I had to have someone come spray myself because the powder substance didnt work and they did their part - "Sorry" Well I moved and still refuse to pay them.
