From what I've read, for the most part, my experience here has been better than some others.

1. I am in the front to the left of the office so I haven't smelled garbage, witnessed drug deals, or had to wait long for maintenance. The only maintenance problem is electrical outlets that don't work. I reported it when I first moved in and was only left a note telling me which ones worked and that I could use those. They didn't fix any.

2. I was sorry to see the whole office staff change three months after moving in. While they will still keep UPS, DHL, and some postal for packages if a signature is required. This is very inconvenient as I work 30-mins from here, live alone, and work some Saturdays so no one will ever be there during the day to sign for a package and I will have to take off work to go collect one.

3. Some parents have given their children their fitness room key so the kids pile in the exercise room while awaiting the school bus. I've stopped some from playing on the exercise equipment (ignoring the warning signs). I've reported it to the groundskeeper who said he would check it out, but others tell me the kids are still in there every school morning. I got tired of chasing them off the machines so I stopped going.

4. One month I'd forgotten to enclose payment for the water bill along with the rent check and a week later I came home to find a nastily-worded EVICTION NOTICE on my door for being delinquent with the $15 water bill. My "feeling good about new management" went out the window.

5. My neighbor has a new boyfriend who likes to crank the stereo up so loud when they have a party that it sounds like rolling thunder (even at midnight). I can also hear him loudly moaning (and NOT in pain) early some mornings as I am getting ready for work (yuck!) or yelling at his girlfriend. I passed him once as he was coming out his door and although he responded to my hello he didn't bother with eye-contact.

For other reasons, I've given my notice and will be moving out at the end of my 7-month lease. Although I love the spacious apartment, I no longer have the feeling of a "comfortable" environment here.
