Since this ------ said to use spell check and tell the truth I WILL... (DEEP BREATH)My review of Cliffs at Rocky Ridge is that I wouldn't recommend this place if it was the LAST place on earth! I and my best friend were looking for a place in late 2007 and I called around when I received a call from -------. She was very determined to have us in. We went there to look and she told -----, another rep, that we wanted to fill out an application. We were like HELLS NO! We want to look before we buy so ----- showed us a 2b/1.5 bath apartment with visible damage. I told ----- about the damage and she said that ------- or ------ will fix the damage before we get in. We wanted to move in on or around November 2007 but they were so bent on getting us THAT apartment that they had us move in Sept 2007. Immediately, we had problems because for one, ------- asked us did we want to pay 650 for the 700 dollar apartment. WHO WOULDN'T but then ------, the office manager, told me that we will not have the 2 month free because of the discounted price. ------- not ----- told us of this so ------ gave us a month free, an apology, and a discounted price. The "month free" was really a couple days free because we signed the lease on the 28th of Sept. SSOO, we moved in and we have the same water damage on the floor in the hallway that produced mold. Everyone got sick and I had to bypass the leasing people and asked ------- to PLEASE fix this problem. This water damage lasted for 4 months. Then every time it rained, the master bedroom's window would leak and that caused mold, decay, and the windows almost fell off. We contacted ------- and ----- whom they did NOTHING so my roommate and I went to ------ and told her to get someone in here to fix this. That episode lasted for about 6 months. THEN, the neighbors would have "pool parties" and exercise lessons because they made noises and caused leaks EVERYDAY for the past year. It was so bad I went upstairs at 2 in the morning and knocked on the door because they leaked soapy water into our bathroom and flooded the bathrooms and hallway. There were times where the neighbors would throw parties till 4 in the morning and had loud rap music on and then there was the Latino version of Jerry Springer where MOMA and daughter got into it over boyfriend at any given time of the day (that was some funny stuff:-D) THEN, through all of that, it's time to renew our lease. We renewed it but the following week ------ put a sign up saying that if we don't pay down our balance to fewer than 500 dollars then we are going to be sent to the attorney. I was IN COMPLETE SHOCK! My roommate came to me like DID YOU PAY OUR RENT and I was like HELL YEAH I PAID THE RENT!!! WHY WOULD THEY RENEW OUR LEASE IF WE HAD A BALANCE!! So I went to ------ that day and asked what our balance was and she said 1317 but didn't tell me how the balance got to that because I showed her ALL the money order receipts from last year. She said to not worry about it and she gave us a half off our November rent for renewing it. A week after that, ------ tell me that the balance is still 1317 and if I don't pay it by the 10(which that day was the 7th) that it will be referred to the attorney. I am so over this apartment complex! I tried to talk to ------ but she refuse to talk to me, I can't talk to ANYONE!!! Then they gone tell me out of the blue that WE have to pay them over 3500 dollars just to get out! I say to them HELL TO THE NO! The lady, ---, told me that I have to pay them 5 percent of the remaining lease (which we just renewed) plus a 325 concession that wasn't on the contract that I and my roommate signed plus a months rent. Like hell I am going to pay that. I told --- that I don't think that its fair for us because we NEVER gotten a sign, a call, a letter, nothing up until we renewed our lease and that now we are stuck because of YOU ALL's Mess up(I didn't say mess up by the way). I have NEVER been in an apartment where they treated their resident's like they are NOTHING! I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy.

OMG, we had a similar problem with this apartment complex. We received the month of August free and didn't start paying until the month of September. Everybody paid, but they just all of a sudden didn't have any records for 2 of the money orders, even though one of my roommates had her receipt. When the month of October came, only one of my roommates was late on her rent and we got a letter saying if that if we didn't pay over 2000 dollars in a weeks time that they would start the eviction process. The staff is so dumb or they like to play dumb because they told us they didn't even know how our names got in the stack of papers. Yeah Right!!! So once I did all of the calculations, even with lawyers fees, we did not owe anywhere near 2000 dollars. We hadn't even stayed there that long to even get close to that amount. Oh yeah, anybody thinking about staying here don't because they show you a beautiful model home and move you into ----!! When we first moved in the carpet was still wet, it was missing cushioning under a portion of the floor, and we had spiders and roaches in the bathtub and under the cabinets. When we pointed them out the lady told us that we could clean it up ourselves. A word of advice, view the apartment you're staying in before you sign the lease. Also it's not in the lease, nor do they mention it to you, but the water bill is not measured on how much you use. They add up all the meters at the end of the month and then they split it amongst how many residents there are in the aparment complex. SO an average water bill is 100 . Whatever you do never move into this apartment complex. There are way nicer Engel communities you can live in.
