SInce the manager died in 2007, the apts. have been sold to Arlington Prop., who renamed them Warringwood Hgts. Apts. There is no mgr. on site, so pool is a joke! Grounds look awful, roofing & gutters falling off and new mgmt. will not do any needed repairs. ALso because no Mgr., Hoover police have to be called almost nightly. This is an older person complex, and mgt. is now renting to people wo do not like the tenant mix after they move in. mgmt. is not telling them about the apts. and that they are not children friendly, with no where to play and complaints if they make noise.

There are 3 bitter old prunes living there and they haven't had anything nice to say about anything in 20 years. The example above is one of them. The place is nice except for these grouchy old women.

Just a few comments on the above posts. The complex has gone downhill since '07, for sure. There are a lot of older people, but this is zoned as a family complex. I happen to be one of the ones with a small child. We have lived here since he was 4. The "old prunes" have never given me or my son any problem. They actually love to talk to him and always have kind words to say. Whoever wrote that will know who I am and who I am talking about when I say one of the "old prunes" lets my child play in her side yard and backyard every day and goes to eat with us on a weekly basis. So obviously, you haven't taken time to get to know the older residents or you would grow to love and appreciate them. It is the people in their 50s that are constantly bitching about the kids playing outside and talking outside. They are the ones who need to move to a retirement home or adult only home, not the older people. I mean really, my kid has to be in bed at 8:30. it is not like he is out raising hell at 11:30 at night. Some people just have to gripe. But again, the place has gone downhill. All of the gutters and shingles are falling off and the grounds are a mess. If packing up and moving weren't such a pain, I would move myself. If I were out looking for an apartment, I wouldn't even slow down here.
