We lived here (at Vista Falls specifically) for about 14 mos. We left to rent a house closer to UAB (hate I-65 traffic in the morning/afternoon) and for a little more quiet. The noise wasn't even bad, but I'm more sensitive to it since we have a 2-year-old who takes afternoon naps. It was mostly a positive experience - repairs were addressed in timely fashion, no problems w/ office staff, nice workout area. Complaints: we didn't actually see our apartment until we moved in because we were told that our apt was occupied, but when we moved in, our apartment was kinda dirty - sort of like it had be cleaned a few months ago but then roaches/spiders/ants had time to make some mess - so I think the staff person lied to us about the apt not being available to see. However, once we put out some roach traps & sprayed for ants, bugs weren't a problem anymore. Also the apartment had an exterminator that came by periodically.
